Does anyone have experience with installing 3rd party javacript?

I have a script from a 3rd party vendor that when try to I install in Content/Configuration/HTML Head/Scripts and Style Sheets returns a 404 error.

I have also tried pasting the script directly before the </body> tag in app/design/frontend/Smartwave/porto/Magento_Theme/layout/default.xml with no success (the script is there, but doesn’t work or appear on the frontend when I inspect the code).

Can anyone point me to some basic how-to resources for doing this? Thank you!

I need some help please!

I’m crawling a Magento site and there are thousands of URLs that contain ?store=3&version=(random number)&signature=(long number)&timestamp= Why are there so many of these URLs? They also seem to be 301s, non-indexable, and redirected. What is happening?!?! Whatever it is, it’s completely eating away the crawl budget.

The crawl is still going, currently at 690,981 URLs and only 13% done with the crawl! I agree I can disallow the URLs in the robots.txt, I just wish we knew why all of these URLs are being created in Magento. Is it a button they can click to stop them from being created? There are thousands of these timestamp URLs for each page. They aren’t indexed which is good, but they are also 301s.

Magento 2 minicart issue after upgrade to 2.4.4

Heya everyone, been throwing myself at this a bit and I think I just need a nudge in the right direction.

Currently have a store using Porto theme, and I am receiving this error in the console which is messing minicart rendering up, it’s completely blank as of now.
[2023-04-16 08:26:41] [ERROR] Failed to load the "Magento_Checkout/minicart/content" template requested by "minicart_content".

Can anyone point me in the direction of what exactly it’s trying to load or how I can ascertain that? Been looking at these two files: app/design/frontend/Smartwave/porto/Magento_Checkout/web/template/minicart/content.html

app/design/frontend/Smartwave/porto_child/Magento_Checkout/web/template/minicart/content.html

Thank you in advance. Your time is appreciated.

Discount Mechanic Setup

Hi there,

I’ve been googling but can’t seem to find out if we can set up discount mechanic such as:

  • Buy 1 item then get the 2nd item 30% off
  • Buy 2 items then get the 3rd item 40% off etc

Not the same items. We’re trying to encourage customers to buy more than 1 SKU. And we also want the discount to apply to the cheapest item in cart. Is this setup possible?

Thank you so much for your help 🙏🏼

Looking to upgrade to magento 2.4.5 – european developer?

Maybe it’s not the right spot to be asking this, but I have been struggling with upgrade my Magento 2.3.4-p2 to 2.4.5-p1 for a few evening now. Some problems on the hosting side and just my lack of knowledge, that made this transition already more difficult that it needed to be. So by now I’m ready to ask someone to take over this process.

Website has a really slow TTFB and no Varnish option available at the hosting, so the upgrade to 2.4.5x is a last effort to see if we need to switch hosting providers or not.
Website is hosted on a cPanel environment based in the Netherlands, https://trofee.be for people that are wondering.

So if someone could help me out, get in contact and let me know how much you ask.
Thanks all!

Hyva theme: Abandon cart solution?

Hi there.

Looking for some suggestions. I’ve been rebuilding my cart using Hyva and noticed that my current abandon cart solution which is Magemail.co is not compatible with Hyva. I stopped using abandon cart extensions because I felt they causing problems. I’ve been happy with MageMail but I won’t keep it, if I can’t use Hyva with it.

Does anybody know if any solutions like ReCapture work with Hyva? Or can anybody with Hyva tell me what they use? I know there are lots of solutions that are setup through cart modules like Abandoned Cart Email for Magento 2 by Amasty should work but I think a third party service like ReCapture or MageMail would be more efficient.
